I have always had a genuine appreciation for realism. Even when I was a little girl and my dad was showing me drawing techniques; it was clarity and perfection that I wanted, that I pushed for. Through Portraiture, I aim to capture my muses’ true likeness and personality with each and every painting, while experimenting with new interesting compositions and light sources. As a student, a more art historical perspective began inspiring my work, I am inspired by several major approaches and styles in the history of painting. I am drawn to unique ways of expressing reality. My style consists of expressive brush strokes combined with a visual transformation of paint to represent surface quality. As an artist I strive to make the ordinary extraordinary.
